Large blackhead?

I have a very large blackhead on my back (on my spine) which consists of many blackheads beside one another. The large blackhead is about 1/4 to 3/8 inch in size. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it? I'm a female and would really like to get rid of it if possible.Large blackhead?
You should go to your doctor first, then if your doc thinks it necessary, s/he will give you a referral to a dermatologist who would be able to remove it. Have someone like your mom or a friend put hot (as you can tolerate) towels on it several times. Then maybe it will come out, but I don't suggest having someone pick at it for now. Go to your doc first. Good luck.Large blackhead?
I wouldn't pop it like it has been suggested. Reason

why? It can get infected.

What you consider a blackhead may very well be

a growth that needs to be excised by a small

surgical procedure in the doctor's office. By having

this procedure done with a doctor, he/she can always

biopsy it to make sure it is blackhead and nohing else.

I'd start with the doctor first. Don't pop it.
This is more common than you think. I work at a massage school. So let me tell ya - the people who mess with them regret it - for months - and they leave really, really big scars. (Like, dime to quater size)

So unless its causing pain, leave it alone.

If it really bugs you, cough up the change to go to a dermatologist to have it removed. Squeezing it will only push part of it in deeper and cause one heck of an infection - which is why they always linger for months and cause the nasty scars.
skewer it ... stab it and pull it out like an olive
I would wash the area with a good natural soap also take quality vitamin and mineral supplements as well as essential fatty acids everyday as part of your diet. Acne and blackheads, amoung hundreds of other things, is due to a nutritional deficiency. Should you still have problems, then yes going to a doctor is a good idea. By the way, if it happens to be a growth like cancer you will need latryl (vitamin B17) which is found in almonds (get them with the hulls on, unroasted, from a health food store), apricot seeds...break the seed open and eat the little piece of fruit inside, this is where the B17 is found. Also apple seeds contain B17. My grandpa ( he passed away when he was 93) ate apples everyday along with the seeds and he never had cancer! Note: if cancer is in it's final stage B17 will not do anything for it as it is too far gone. The sources below are very helpful.
Go see a doctor.
think DOCTOR -- dermatologist
After a warm bath, try to squeeze the surrounding area very gently using clean fingers. If it doesnt budge, go see a doctor. :)
pop it out with your fingers....
