Best product for STOPPING blackheads?

Seriously - I wash twice daily (in the morning, with St. Ives Apricot Scrub because it seems to smell the best, and exfoliate the best compared to Clean %26amp; Clear or Noxema). At night, I tend to either use the scrub if I feel exceptionally oily, but usually just a hot washcloth. And I use astringent at night. I have used a blackhead removal tool, and while thats a nice temporary fix, how on earth do you keep them from forming? Anyone found a really killer product?Best product for STOPPING blackheads?
There really isn't a product that will completely stop black heads.

What you can do is wash your face morning and night with a gentle cleanser. Exfoliate at least once a week with a scrub or an enzyme peel and then moisturize with an oil control lotion.

Black heads are caused by a build up of dead skin cells and sebum. They mix and clog the pores.

When you use some over the counter products like clean and clear, st.Ives or oxy you are over drying your skin, which in turn causes more dead skin cells and causes the skin to re-balance itself by producing more oils. Those product have a lot of synthetic (man made) ingredients and other unnecessary fillers that are bad for the skin.

Try going to a health food store and buying new products. Remember to Cleanse, Exfoliate, moisturize, and protect (SPF) everyday.Best product for STOPPING blackheads?
The Apricot scub can actually make your skin produce more oil and then the pores clog more often. Try a gentle cleanser in the morning and evening and exfoliate once or twice a week. I stopped wearing power and that also helped a lot. You may want to try getting a professional facial every other week. If there was a killer product out there than there wouldn't be so many products on the shelf.
blackheads are extremely stubborn and even if you manage to get ride of them by using the nose strips or popping they come back. this may be a bit too drastic for your liking, but if you go to the dermatologist they have this little tool where they pull out the blackheads completely and they never come back as long as you keep your face clean. i just got it done a few weeks ago and my nose is completely clear still.
Leave your skin alone for a few days. Its not garunteed, to work, but I know if i exfoliated twice a day my skin would be bugged as hell. Also, do you moisturise and drink plenty of water, cos that may help.

Dunno the exact definition on a blackhead, but for stopping baby stots, T Zone on the spot stick works wonders!
Yes, like people indicated St. Ives Apricot Scrub is actually too rough on the skin...don't go for products for the way they smell as they can sometimes be counterproductive. If you are having unusual problems and nothing seems to work, try talking to your doctor about a prescription product like Retin-A or something similar. They work wonders.
Shouldn't use St. Ives, that scrub has sharp granules that can further damage skin leading to skin infections. Try one with circular granules, Mary Kay sells a microdermabrasion scrub that is FANTASTIC. I use their ';miracle'; kit, and while I've been the type to have acne all my life, it's gone.
Try clean %26amp;clear solution for blackhead, it worked for me. There is also the soap clean %26amp; clear which you can use. Its also for blackhead removal
