My face is awful, the pores are big and blackhead and whitehead filled?

what are some tips for me to help with this? and don't tell me proactive, im through with that. i want good skin again, im 25 yrs old and have really oily skin.My face is awful, the pores are big and blackhead and whitehead filled?
i had very bad skin but it is clear now at 29 this may sond wierd and odd but it works it closes the pores just enough for them to breathe and gets rid of blackheads and white heads go to the drug store and buy milk of magnesia as soon as you put it on you can feel your skin tighten and pores closing within minutes believe me it worksMy face is awful, the pores are big and blackhead and whitehead filled?
i got fed up with proactive too and plus too expensive...try to use acnefree its only 20 dollars at your local CVS or Walgreens and worked wonders for me
try eating plenty of veg and keep off the greasy stuff.
I am 34 and still had big pores on my nose and occassional breakouts. Go to a dermatologist who will prescribe an antibiotic to you. Try Obagi skin regimine. The one thing you can do right now without visiting anybody is to not touch your face. Hands have so many germs and when you touch your face, any open sore you have willl get them. Concentrate on leaving your skin alone and that might help...
if proactive didn't work for you then you have a need for perscription medication for acne. make an appointment with your dermatologist.
Hi!

I actually found a facial oil that slows down your skins oil production, clears up pimples/ acne and dissolves black heads within 4-8 weeks I put all the info on my blog as it's quite detailed:

http://beautymoi.blogspot (.com) =%26gt; remove the parentheses

I also put a full article of how to extract blackheads and steam your skin.

Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted from your pores and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix, no water based product can ';clean'; your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. So this is basically how this oil works. It's composition is such that the skin accepts it as a healing oil and it does not clog your skin but rather protects it while the plant extracts inside go down into the pores (this absorption is made possible by applying the toner to the skin before applying the oil and then applying the dabs of oil over your moistened face), it then penetrates into the pores.

I put where to the name of the oil and prices in stores versus on eBay as well as how to apply it on my blog:

Also you may want to Google Drying Lotion by Mario Badescu.

Take care and good luck!

How big are your pores? Does the tip of you finger fits inside? I suggest for you to use Ponds toner, then apply Ponds pearl cream and do it daily.
Clean your body from the inside out. The skin is the largest elimination organ of the body. When the liver is overtaxed and cannot clean the blood though urine, etc., it resorts to excreting toxins and waste through the skin. Stop drinking all caffeine and drink 72 oz of water every day. Eat vegetables and severely limit sugar and flour and you will see a remarkable and permanent difference in a few months. (permanent as long as you stick with the changes that is)
Do you eat many animal products? Alot of people find that they, especially milk, worsen spots because of the animal hormones they contan. There's a great site about it somewhere but I can't find it :p But I stuck a few other links in the sources...
Exfoliate! Try a microderm abrasion kit for at home. It will help. A plastic surgeon reccommended St. Ives' Apricot scrub for my fiance. He said it is one of the best products on the market and it is astonishing how cheaply it is sold for. You can buy it at wal-mart. It will be a pain in the butt, but was your face several times throughout the day, even if you have a job and you have to go into the bathroom... just do it. It will help to control the oil.
Do you exfoliate?
This may sound kinda gross, but your urine has urea in it and if you use your morning urine on a cotton ball and apply it on your face, leave it on for about 5 minutes and then wash it, it's supposed to help clear it up. Yes, it sounds gross, but you don't have to tell anyone you've tried it.
I have never had to much of a problem with acne but I have suffered from oily skin and large pores since puberty. I have found the most effective way to control my oily skin and over sized pores is to gently cleanse my face with a fragrant free, all natural soap twice a day and to use a face moisturizer. I've noticed that if I use a face moisturizer after gently cleaning my face with soap my face doesn't seen to produce as much oil. Kinda odd but true, at least in my case.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

mknight

EDIT:

Excellent advice from interstateseventyfive. I didn't even think to mention pillow case and to finish washing with cool/cold water to help close up the pores. Very good tips! I would give you a star if I could :)
I use products by the company H2O plus. My doctor recomended that company, and it has done miracles for my skin. They have different prodcuts for all different types of skin, and it really works. Also if you exfoliate once every other day it helps to clear out your pores.
1. Wash your face with face wash three times a day.

2. Every other day put a clay mask on your entire face (NOT THE PEEL OF KIND!)

3.clean out all the pimples, pimples attract more pimples.
I had the same problem. What helped me is a Pore Cleansing Masque from Artistry. I shrunk my pores and my face was not so oily. They guarentee it to work or they'll actually refund all of your money. I will give you the direct link to read all the information on it and even buy it if it sounds like what you are looking for

Pore Cleansing Masque

It isn't a peel off mask either, you just wash it off. I love it and it works great for me and i'm sure you'll find the same thing if you try it. I hope this answered your question :)
Accutane. It is a prescription that you have to get from the dermatologist, also you might have to really fight your doctor to get it, a lot of dermatologist are still trying to prescribe Retin-A and other older medicines that just don't work, just be persistent, that you only want Accutane. Once you have gone through the treatment your skin will become dry and you will have to really take care to moisturize and protect it from the sun, which will be weird since you have probably always had oily skin.
You look edible to me.
hey here is some home remedy if you like, try this

take a spoon of rice flour or wheat grams or tiny sugar

wash your face and take any one of the above and rub gently on your skin for about 3 to 2 minutes then wash it off .

Now take a steam for 5 minutes pat with towel, apply a oily skin face pack and wash it.

do it for few days then see..

basically we get the heads because of the dirt and once we use the scrub the pores are open, so we should always apply face pack to close the pores.

It worked for me hope it works for you too.
Try natural remedies. A good one for making your face feel and look better in minutes is distilled witch hazel, dabbed on with cotton wool. You get the witch hazel in bottles in the drugstore - it's a clear liquid that smells herbal, and sinks into your skin like lightning. It'll dry up the skin enough and close up the pores.
Start with a few simple practices.

Wash your skin morning, night (and after the gym) with a gentle cleanser for oily skin.

Exfoliate ever other day with Neutrogena scrub.

When washing your face, rinse 7-10 times with warm water before lathering your skin. Rinse 7-10 more times and follow with cold water.

Change your pillowcase often and minimize your hair's contact with your face (try headbands, bandanas off the forehead, or even re-examine your hair care products for excess oil or other clogging contaminants).

Do not touch your face during the day. It is a habit that will be hard to break.

Drink at least 64 oz of water everyday.
go to the dr. and will will proscribe you meds if you have really really really bad skin they will give you antibiotics to kill all the bacteria in your skin, but if your are uncomfortable with that you can get some face cream from the doctor it works really well.
If you are going to wash your face 3 times a day, as suggested above, you need to have a moisturizing soap, otherwise it will dry your face out way too much, and become red and rashy! Your skin needs to keep SOME of the natural oils it produces! What do you have against the proactive? I think that it's one product that I have found, if used correctly, really works! It will give you good skin again! And if it's too expensive use the generic version that you can get at Wal-Mart. I think you just need to really need to use it everyday AS DIRECTED and it will work wonders for you.

PS - your pores are not that big, and your face is not awful! It always seems worse to you, but others do not see it that way!
try to go to the sauna.. for like 30 min. about 3-4 times a week... i'll do it, and it helps a lot!
Large Pores Treatment - Home remedies

SUGAR SCRUB

Ingredients: 1 Tablesoon each of sugar, olive oil and honey.

Wet face, apply scrub by rubbing very gently in a circular motion. Remove with water with hands only.

EGG WHITE MASK

Mix 2 egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply on face and leave on for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with hands.

Note: As egg whites dry, they linghten the skin and pull debris out of pores. Lemon is a natural fruit acid which also helps to exfoliate.

Or you may try the following to treat large pores

1) Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply withch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.

2) Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores and massage well. Rinse with warm water.

3) Add lemon juice and a little milk to oatmeal. Apply the paste and remove after 20 minutes with water. Do not use if there are eruptions.

Tips on reducing large pores

Stop using harsh toners or astringents on the affected areas. Using these products may have a very temporary 'tightening' effect on pores, but it's extremely short-lived. In fact, harsh astringents actually encourage oil glands to over-produce oil, leading to an increase in the size of pores.

Avoid putting moisturiser on the area as the skin produces quite enough moisture and oil on its own and doesn't need more.

Makeup tips to hide the appearance of large pores

Heavy foundations will draw attention to your large pores. So, stay with a sheer, light and oil free foundation.

Apply foundation, concealer, powder and blusher in a downward motion, otherwise you'll accentuate pores by pushing colour up and into them.

Steam your face weekly

How to Exfoliate Your Face

Moisten your face with water before exfoliating.

Use a loofah, exfoliating gloves or a synthetic scrubbing sponge designed for the face.

Apply an exfoliating cleanser specially designed for faces to the loofah or sponge. Some exfoliating cleansers contain up to 25 percent pumice, and these should never be used on the face.

Rub your face with the loofah or sponge using circular motions. Avoid scrubbing under the eyes, because the skin there is thin and easily damaged by abrasive cleansers and exfoliating sponges.

Rinse thoroughly with tepid water. Hot water is harsh on skin, especially delicate face skin.

Try an exfoliating mask. Make one by mashing up a papaya and smearing it on your face. The enzymes help exfoliate the skin. Rinse off thoroughly after 15 minutes.
